We congratulate director Klaus Härö and Kinotar producers Lasse Saarinen & Rimbo Salomaa for the nomination of “Postia Pappi Jaakobille” (Letters to Father Jacob). It will be the Finnish contender for the 2010 Oscar for the best international film.

A little film that became a big film, reminding all of us of the mysterious forces at play when a creative achievement finds it’s way to the hearts of the film going public. Intended as a limited release it quickly shattered all box office expectations and is still running in theaters 25 weeks after the premiere.
